There are some types of flooring that can be installed over Tile. Laminate, Carpet, Engineered Wood and sometimes even new Tile can be installed over old Tile. But our favorite type of flooring to install over Tile is Loose Lay.

Loose Lay is a relative unknown but it's a fantastic solution for anyone who wants to quickly transform their space. Loose Lay is also easier to install for for people who are doing it themselves. But, it's definitely worthwhile to consider hiring a Flooring Professional in New Braunfels to avoid a DIY disaster, especially when you're planning to install this unique Vinyl Flooring over Tile floors that are cracked or damaged.

Some additional Floor Preparation may be required depending on the condition of your Ceramic or Porcelain Tile floors and whether subfloor repairs are required. These flooring installation issues can be addressed by our Team of skilled Installers. But, if you are a die-hard Do-It-Yourselfer, one of the best things about Loose Lay Vinyl Flooring is that mistakes or issues can more easily be resolved.  Although it will lay securely in place, individual planks can quickly be popped up as needed.

Loose Lay Vinyl Flooring is exactly what it sounds like. It lays in place, secured by a rubberized backing that secures it. It comes in heavy planks, and believe-it-or-not, it stays where you put it. On larger rooms, some glue may be required but it works in small spaces without glue just fine. If the Loose Lay needs to be secured using an adhesive, you can find pressure-sensitive adhesives that will allow you to pull up any planks that need to be replaced or removed for access to the subfloor, later.
